Welcome to the Ducklings

COVID-19: We are really sad that we cannot see all of you at the moment. School is open to children of critical workers and vulnerable children. However, due to the overwhelming applications for places we have had to prioritise. The guidance is to 'stay at home' where possible in order to reduce the spread of this very virulent strain of COVID-19. So please, if you are a critical worker and do not need a place in school, let us know. We are very aware that some of you will be struggling with home learning, especially if you are also trying to work from home - we are doing our best to help you whilst also teaching in school! Please contact us if you have any problems or need some support. We are here to help. If you cannot manage all of the activities, do not worry. Be mindful of your own and your family's wellbeing and health. Thank you.

All home learning will be posted on TAPESTRY. Miss Bailey will also be doing 'live' meet ups and will let you know when these are.

Our Christmas video is on the photo links below. We respectfully ask you NOT TO share this link on any form of social media thank you.

Early Years at Meadows, offers outstanding nursery care to children aged 3 - 4. Our desire is to empower the children and to ignite enthusiam and excitement in our children's early experiences. We aim to provide the children with a wealth of play based activities that encourage and promote curiosity and independence. Our vision is to develop a nurturing, thriving and fun filled environment, which recognises each child as a unique individual. We use our outside learnng classroom as an extension of our indoor play - we believe that children should be outside as much as possible and we hope that our forest school and outdoor classroom invites children to fully explore their surroundings and engage with nature. We work closely with parents to be supportive and welcoming - we look forward to being able to offer our weekly stay and play sessions again soon!

New to Nursery September 2020

We have been really excited to see our new Nursery children and parents.. Please keep looking at this page as we update it with more information for you over the coming term. If you haven't yet logged into TAPESTRY - then please see the Nursery team for details on how to do this!

This year we are excited to be part of the new 'Early Adopters' framework for Nursery and Reception children. More information can be found HERE.

You will find some ideas for 'home learning' in the Useful Information section at the bottom of this page . We will upload this weekly onto TAPESTRY so that if you are off school due to having symptoms of COVID-19 you will not miss out on your learning - remember the most important learning is talking to your child, reading stories and playing lots of games together to increase their vocabulary and language skills and of course, having fun whilst doing this!
