Children's Leadership Teams

We want pupils to play an active and positive role in all aspects of school life. As a Rights Respecting School, this is an integral part of our school ethos. 

We believe that all children should be given the opportunity to lead an initiative or hold a position of responsibility that impacts the school as a whole, so we offer a wide range of leadership roles in teams; pupils should be given a wide range of opportunities to develop and practise leadership skills in preparation for life beyond school. 

There are many opportunities for children to take on leadership roles in their classrooms, but at a whole school level we have a range of leadership responsibilities. Pupil Leadership activities focus on improving the quality of learning and teaching in the classroom, supporting the school’s aim to be a place where everyone enjoys learning, feels safe and is well cared for. 

Each team has a link teacher who works closely with the pupils to develop new projects, arrange events and help the children to contribute to the voice and vision of the school.
