Conductors or Insulators?20/11/2020

We tested materials to see if they are conductors or insulators.

Some materials let electricity pass through them easily. These materials are known as conductors

Some materials do not allow electricity to pass through them. These materials are known as insulators.

We tested a range of materils, including tin foil, a coin, card, a plastic spoon and fabric.

We made a circuit with a light bulb, battery and crocodile clips, adding our material into the circuit.

If the light bulb lit up, then the material was a conductor.

We discovered that tin foil and the metal coin were conductors.
