Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium funding is allocated to children who are eligible for Free School Meals, are “Looked After,” or have parents currently serving in the armed forces. This funding is clearly identifiable in our school budget, and we are accountable for how effectively it is spent to support pupils’ learning and development.

At Meadows First School, we strive to create a culture of high expectations for all children. We work closely with families to foster trust and support, aiming to overcome barriers and build upon strengths so every child has the best possible start. Our commitment reflects the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), particularly Article 28 (the right to education) and Article 29 (education should develop every child’s talents and abilities to the full).

We are dedicated to enabling all pupils to reach their potential. The School Leadership Team, including a Pupil Premium Leader and our Governing Body, monitor the impact of all spending and interventions. We also follow a research-informed programme called RADY (Raising the Attainment of Disadvantaged Youngsters), which forms a golden thread through our School Development Plan.  Click here for more information on RADY

By using Pupil Premium effectively, we ensure that every child’s right to education and equal opportunities is respected and upheld.
