Welcome to the Ducklings
Early Years at Meadows, offers outstanding nursery care to children aged 3 - 4. Our desire is to empower the children and to ignite enthusiasm and excitement in our children's early experiences. We aim to provide children with a wealth of play-based activities that encourage and promote curiosity and independence. Our vision is to develop a nurturing, thriving and fun-filled environment which recognises each child as unique and individual. We use our outside classroom as an extension of our indoor play - we believe that children should be outside as much as possible and we hope that our forest school and outdoor classroom invites children to fully explore their surroundings and engage with nature. We work closely with parents to be supportive and welcoming.
Nursery Starters September 2026
Applications for Nursery Places September 2026 are now open. Please collect an application form from the school office. We do still have spaces available for children due to start in September 2026, if you would like to know more please email ducklings@meadows.worcs.sch.uk Nursery spaces for September 2026 will be allocated in April.
Stay and Play times for Nursery Starters September 2026 -
We are very much looking forward to welcoming your child to Ducklings Class at Meadows First School Nursery. Once Nursery spaces have been allocated you will be invited to a stay and play session in the Summer Term. Children due to start in September will be invited to an after school stay and play session to familiarise themselves with the Nursery Classroom and Teachers.
Transition will be organised into small transition groups, please see booklets from September 2025 for an idea of how this will run during the first week of September.

Forest School Sessions currently run every Wednesday Morning.
Nursery places for this academic have now been allocated, currently all of our Nursery Sessions are full, if you are interested in a nursery place and would like to be added to the waiting list please contact the school office.
