Our Aims and Values
Our Vision and Aims
Our school motto, "Caring, Sharing, Preparing for Life," reflects the values that guide us each day. Caring means recognising that we are all unique and important. As part of the Meadows family, we treat everyone with kindness, warmth, and care, and we show respect for our world. Sharing teaches us how to be good friends, respect each other and work together because we know that we can achieve more as a team. Preparing for life means that we strive to achieve well and develop the skills and knowledge needed for the next stage in our learning journey. With the help of Meadows Mouse, we learn important life-long learning behaviours such as being organised, determined, focused, and enthusiastic. As a Gold Rights Respecting School, we ensure that every child knows their rights under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and respects their own rights and the rights of others.
We believe school should:
- Be a place every child remembers with affection – Supports the right to education that develops personality and happiness (Article 29).
- Develop a rich acquisition of vocabulary for confident communication – Right to express thoughts and opinions (Article 13).
- Be a happy, stimulating and safe learning environment – Right to protection from harm and a safe environment (Article 19).
- Develop a growth mindset and a ‘can do’ attitude – Right to education that nurtures talents and abilities (Article 29).
