Our Wellbeing Curriculum

Our Wellbeing Wheel

We have worked alongside our children to create a Wellbeing Wheel and a health and wellbeing curriculum. Together, they identified six key elements that support their wellbeing: Active Me, Calm Me, Unique Me, Safe Me, Friendly Me, and Clever Me. When children are supported in these areas, they develop a positive mindset and feel happy—upholding their right to health and wellbeing (Article 24) and their right to an education that develops their personality and talents (Article 29).

Active Me

Active Me: Supports every child’s right to health and wellbeing (Article 24).

Safe Me

Safe Me: Protects the right to safety and protection from harm (Article 19).

Clever Me

Clever Me: Ensures the right to an education that develops talents and personality (Article 28 and 29).

Friendly Me

Friendly Me: Upholds the right to play and build friendships (Article 31).

Unique Me

Unique Me: Celebrates the right to identity, self-expression, and inclusion (Articles 2, 8, 13, 23).

Calm Me

Calm Me: Promotes the right to good mental health and care (Article 24).

Wellbeing Garden

Everyone at Meadows is proud of our wellbeing garden. This special space allows children to relax and feel calm, supporting their right to health and wellbeing (Article 24).Each week, children dedicate time to activities that nurture their wellbeing—such as singing, yoga, outdoor learning, the arts, or simply enjoying forest school or the wellbeing garden. These experiences uphold their right to an education that develops their talents and personality (Article 29) and their right to the best possible health (Article 24).
